We teachers need to download videos from internet often. I have tried many softwares to download these videos but usually these free to use software programs don't give you the satisfactory results. YouTube is the most popular video sharing site on the internet, allows its users to upload and share videos easily but doesn’t provide any way to download them.
Best ways to download YouTube videos:
I don't recommend using professional downloading software programs to download YouTube videos, as there are many ways to grab these videos and save at your pc hard disk.
SaveVid.com is one of the most popular websites for downloading YouTube videos and it is incredibly simple. Just copy-paste the URL of the YouTube video you want to download into the URL field at the top of the page on SaveVid.com and click ‘Download’. When the Java popup shows up on your screen click either ‘Run’ or ‘Allow’. You will be asked to choose from the available video formats. Just click on the one you prefer and the video will be downloaded to your computer. In the screenshot below, we’re given the option to choose between an FLV and MP4 file.
'Save you Tube' works on the same line as 'Save Vid.com'.
Download YouTube videos online without even copy-and-pasting the URL.
Just write 'save' in front of the URL in the address bar and hit enter. For example: http://saveyoutube.com/watch?v=dXP2GdqYCOM
1-Click YouTube Video Download 1.5 for Firefox:
It is a great Firefox add-on that does the same thing as the Chrome extension above. When you navigate to a YouTube page you’ll see a series of links down by the description that you can click to download the video in a variety of formats, from FLV to MP4, HD and more, depending upon the availability of formats for the video you are downloading. This is the service I use when I download videos from YouTube. It’s quick and easy and it almost always works.
Add a‘ Kiss ‘
You just need to add the word ‘kiss’ to the YouTube video URL and then it directs you to a website where you can download it as a .flv video or convert it other formats as well.
For example: YouTube Videoh 'Learn Alphabet' URL is :http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y6uGGrtueys&feature=g-all-u
Now in order to download it, just replace it with this – www.kissyoutube.com/watch?v=y6uGGrtueys&feature=g-all-u .
It takes you to the site 'Save you Tube.com' where you can download it.
You just need to add the word ‘ss’ to the YouTube video URL. For example http://www.youtube.com should look like it http://ssyoutube.com. Next window directs you to a website where you can download it as a .flv video or convert it other formats as well.
YouTube Catcher allows you to copy paste the YouTube video link and then download it.
